Try Frizz Ease by John Frida. Or if you are willing to pay a bit more Ouidad has a kid line.

I have very frizzy hair and it took me years to get it right.

I don't have any products to suggest. I have frizzy hair myself and so does my daughter. I use styling gels to keep the frizz down. But use a comb instead of a brush. I bought a great one with small teeth on one end and long teeth on another. Both me and my daughter use this. I don't blow dry my hair, it just makes it worse. I usually braid my daughter's hair before bed so it's not horrible in the morning. She has her hair braided a lot. Good luck.

I have curly hair and I would recommend that you get the Curly Girl book by Lorraine Massey. Its a life changer! You will find good ideas and home made recipes there.

If you go to a children's hair salon (we go to Snip Its), they have child-friendly products. They are ridiculously over-priced, but work well and are safe for kids. You may be able to buy their products online, but we use the gel on my son's hair and it's great!

Stop using shampoo on her hair. Only wash her hair with conditioner. Seriously it will get it clean. I use Organix brand because it has no sulfates. Put on the conditioner at the beginning of the bath and leave it on until the end. Rinse it out and towel dry. Apply Organix coconut oil... about a dime size amount from the ends to the roots. Comb with a WIDE tooth comb and let it air dry. If she only has waves, you can enhance them by spiraling them around your fingers while wet and letting them dry.

There is a line called Little Sprouts works nicely but a little overprced. A leave in conditioner would also help. I personally use Redken Curl Refiner but I have heavy thick curly hair. For shampoo & conditioner I use Tigi Foxy Curls. You want to stay away from sufate shampoos and don't wash every day if you can help it. I know that's easier said than done with a 14 month old sometimes. Also handle it as little as possible because touching =frizz.

My granddaughter has very curly hair that frizzes. My daughter is a licensed hairdresser. She puts conditioner in her hands and rubs it through Molly's hair and it keeps it from frizzing.

My daughter also has curly hair. Curl cream is amazing. We use the aveda brand, but I am sure there are others that are great too.

do not use shampoo on curly hair, especially baby's curly hair. Read the book curly girl - it talks all about it, but shampoo causes the frizz, water and friction is all you need to wash properly. If there is still frizz you can add a light conditioner and/or mix water and conditioner in a bottle to spray on after bathtime to cut down on the frizz - try not to tousle or touch the hair too much as it dries.

Get SUNSILK Captivating Curls. My daughter has the same type of hair. I have to wet it, comb it out, then apply this and it looks adorable!

I also recommend Curly Girl. I used a little baby lotion on my son's hair when he was little and so did another mom in his baby sign class. My daughter's hair is more ringlets, so I just let it go wild and crazy and wet my fingers and run them through her hair as needed to tame it. (I tried spraying her hair with water like I do mine, but she really didn't like being sprayed with the squirt bottle.)

I second the Curly Girl book and whatever you do...DON'T brush or comb it! Just condition it with your fingers while it's wet, scrunch it with a towel to dry it a little, and then leave it alone!!

I second Ouidad, especially the Climate Control gel. It's about $20 for a bottle, but you only have to reapply it after washing, and on a little child, one bottle should last at least a year. It was a miracle product for my daughters curls. They are defined ringlets now, instead of the frizzy mess they were before. You can buy it at the Styling Hutch off of Legacy and Coit.

I have really thick, frizzy hair. This will probably seem odd, but here's what works for me. I use Herbal Essence moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I leave the conditioner in even though it's not designed for that. I comb my hair in the shower with a wide tooth comb and the towel it off. I add either Herbal Essence mousse or Paul Mitchell sculpting foam ( original, not extra hold) and then let it air dry unless I have a special occasion then I use a diffuser to blow dry. -- oops I just reread your post and realized she's 14 months not 14 years. Oh well, maybe this will help her when she's older.
