I would like to know if you have any suggestions on the type multi-vitamins for teens? My sons are 13 and 15 and are presently not taking vitamins although I am sure they could benefit from them. They are both athletes, very healthy with no food allergies. The more more natural the vitamin the better but I'm sure where to begin. Have you have any success with a particular brand ? I am opne to your suggestions. Thanks !!!

The best advice I ever got was to drop the vitamins and go with whole food. Juice Plus is whole food and comes in capsules, gummies, or chewables. The age kids you have can recive this for free for 3 years as long as mom and/or dad take them. They do what we do, right?
You can read about it on karen4betterhealth.com

Hi T.. My whole family uses Juice Plus. It is actually not a vitamin but works as a replacement. A friend of mine is a distributor of the product. I was skeptical about it but I asked my children's pediatrician about it and he takes it himself. I know it is also recommended by Dr. Sears. It's not actually a vitamin, Juice Plus is just fruit and vegetable juices that have been made into powedered form so you are getting the vitamins from the fruits and vegetables. I had an eye doctor appointment several months ago and they did a bioscan to test my antioxidant levels and I had the highests levels they had seen in their office so I feel like it's working for me. I know they have a website. I think it's just www.juiceplus.com .

Hi T. ~
Arbonne makes a teen specific vitamin. It is a daily chew that has all natural (NO junk) ingredients. If you'd like, I can send you a few for your kids to try so you can see if they like them. It's nice in the chew form, there's no fighting to get my son to take them. And, they are packed with things that Teens need.
Let me know if you'd like to sample them.
Have a good one,

Nutrilite is the number one organic vitamin in the world. It is what I give my children and have been for 13 years. You order online at we-us.mychoices.biz

You sign up as a client and order as needed. There is a great feature on the site that lets you set a "Ditto Order" so you get the products you want every month without having to remember to order.

The products are money back guaranteed for 6 months and the part I like best is I can go to a site that tells me what is in them and where they are grown and everything! To me this was the most important thing because I have been offered other types of vitamins and if I research them on the web there is no definitive answer to my questions on what, where, how much and if it has been tested to see if it works. Nutrilite grows the plants they use, they don't buy them from a third party. I could go on and on about Nutrilite because I know from my personal experience that going with out them means a lack of energy. The "Fastest Man In The World", Asafa Powell, added Nutrilite to his training regime to attain that title. You may have seen him in the last Olympics.

You can even contact the webmaster with questions. I take the XX but my sons take the Men's Pack or the Daily.

Try them out, no risk involved!! But whatever vitamin you decide on make sure you can research it and find out about it.

You can actually go to the facility in Buena Park and see the vitamins being made. I went there and it is so cool!!!

Vitamins are good for teens who are athletes, as it is doubtful they get sufficient food for their active growing bodies. I recommend Melaleuca Vitamins, as they contain oliogofructose, which aids in binding the vitamins and minerals to the cells. Further, they do not free up the free radicals as other vitamins do.

I can help you to get these and other wonderful, healthy products for less! Just go to my website, I'll call you!

Hi T.,
The only Vitamins I would suggest for anyone I care about is Shaklee. I have a little more insight in this area than most. I sell the raw materials to the nutritional industry, and have been doing this for 15 years. Having said that, I have seen most of the manufacturing facilities in the US and have worked very closely with the product development and various departments for most major vitamin companies. I have NEVER seen a company with the high standards that Shaklee has. Most companies contract the making of there products to outside facilities with little or no regulations. I have nothing to gain....dont sell the products, but feel very passionate about what I will allow my family to ingest in their body. Go to Shaklee's website and you can find a distrbutor in your area.

Hi T.,

I sell a new vitamin supplemental called Vemma. It is a liquid vitamin that Men's Journal has said to be the best there is out there. Since it is in liquid form 98% of will be absorbed into the body at a celluar level as opposed to vitamins in pill form.

We also sell a healthy energy drink Verve. What makes it healthier than Monster and Red Bull is that Verve only has the amount of sugar you would find in an apple plus a shot of the vitamin supplement Vemma.

Let me know if you want more information on it or some free samples.

Hi Tamara,

I know it can be very challenging finding a good supplement to meet your needs and the needs of your family, but there are some problems with traditional multivitamin and mineral supplememts on the market everyone should be aware of. The company I'm with made a profound discovery about these types of supplements. Any made with inorganic forms such as Sulfate, Oxide, and copper forms such as Gluconate were shown to GENERATE free radicals. Free radical damage is linked to cancer, premature aging and other serious health issues.

Centrum and One-a-Days were at the top of the list for free radical generation, followed by some well know vitamins from other companies. An abstract of this new discovery and research has been published in The Society for Free Radical Biology and Medicine’s prestigious Free Radical Biology and Medicine Journal.

I hope this has helped you some. If you'd like to know more, please contact me and I'll be happy to get you more details.

You do have to be picky about vitamins but there are some great choices out there. I don't believe there is ONLY ONE vitamin or company that is safe as someone else suggested!

Arbonne makes a vitamin supplement specifically for teens in the form of a cherry flavored chew. They contain essential vitamins & minerals as well as a combination of superfood antioxidants & botanicals to boost the immune system. There are no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners. Arbonne uses the purest, safest ingredients available & manufactures the products here in the US. They retail for $24.

Usana vitamins are fantastic and have a wonderful absorption rate. I can put you in touch with the person I get mine through. Usana has one specifically targeted for teenagers, as well as a different one for children. I highly recommend them! Otherwise, Juice Plus is AWESOME. They are a whole food though. Hundreds, if not thoughsands, of scientific studies on those. I distribute them only for the preferred customer discount. I can help you if you'd like to try those. They're great!- kosher/organic.

Tamara,
I have tried several types of vitamins with no success until I discovered Shaklee who has been around for 52 years! Shaklee can "back up" their vitamins and when you buy natural vitamins at the stores, you just don't know exactly what you are getting. That is not the case with Shaklee. What they say is in the vitamin is IN the vitamin and they have CLINICAL STUDIES to prove it. This is why Shaklee is the #1 nutritional company in the world. They also have a 100% money-back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied.
Feel free to browse through my website: www.shaklee.net/paradise and check out their products. They have other products for athletes and we are the proud sponsor of several Olympic athletes. If you are interested in trying their vitamins, call me ###-###-####) and I will be happy to help you get the best deal!

Hi Tamara,

I give Juice Plus to my kids (and take it myself). It is actual fruits and veggies in powdered form. You can google it on the internet. I like the idea of them being more natural ingredients. Good luck!

Hi T. - I highly suggest you get yourself and your kids on Juice Plus capsules right away (your kids are still at the age that you can get the their capsules free with each adult order, so your whole family can get more than the recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables to protect their health for less than $2.80 per day). It's difficult to find anything in the grocery store worth feeding your whole family for $2.80. Other than eating the whole food, it's the best way for you to ensure your kids are getting enough fruit and vegetable nutrition which is proven to strengthen and balance the immune system, protect and helps repair DNA and lower risk of disease. The difference between Juice Plus and virtually all other supplements is that it's not vitamins at all - it's actually the nutrients, antioxidants and enzymes from 17 of the real fresh fruits and vegetables. There is more independent gold standard research proving the health benefits of Juice Plus than any other nutritional supplement in the world. My husband, myself and our boys 5,7 and 11 have been taking them every day for three years and they rarely ever get sick and if they do it's mild and brief. Feel free to check my website at www.wethriveonjuiceplus.com. Another great source of info on the research is the free recorded health info hotline: 800-942-1260. There's a recorded call from world renowned pediatrician Dr. William Sears on Juice Plus as well as many doctors. Feel free to call me at ###-###-#### for more information or to order. I'd be happy to help.

I've heard that Shaklee is the best. I know a fitness instructor who did research on which vitamins to offer his clients and he learned that Shaklee came highly recommended. The stuff at Costco jams all of the vitamins into 1 pill, and I hear that you're not supposed to do this because they sometimes neutralize each other out.

Here are 2 Shaklee distributors I know:

Mike Hansen ###-###-#### ____@____.com
