Donating Baby Clothes & Stuff

I have an ever increasing pile of clothes my son (now 19 months) has outgrown as well as other various bouncy seat and the like that are no longer used. Do any of you have suggestion of where I could donate them. (I know I could do consignment - but too much hassle and I know I could do goodwill - but I didn't know what other options were out there).

I am in Far North Dallas (Preston & Campbell).

Thanks!

What can I do next?

You can donate to Medina Children's Home. You can call them at ###-###-#### and arrange a time for them to pick up your donations. It's convenient and it's going to a good cause. I donate to them or Arc of Texas. Both can arrange pick ups and have websites with contact info. Good luck!

I always gave mine to the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center. They have a collections trailer in their parking lot and do provide tax receipts.

I donate to Hope's Door in Plano. www.hopesdoorinc.org

This is a place where abused women and children go when they have left the home and are working their way out. We have been donating all types of items (the pick up larger items as well) over the years.

MUCH easier than a garage sale or consignment shop PLUS someone who really needs help gets help PLUS you get a tax write off.

I do know there are organizations all over the DFW area like this. I think Genesis is one.

I like to take my things to the Pregnancy Advocacy Center in Lewisville or Christian Community Action in Lewisville.

First Presbyterian of Richardson operates the Clothes Closet as part of the Community Network--providing help to those in need of temporary help. They can use good clothing for job/career interviews, working clothes and of course childrens clothes.
There is also a thrift store operated by Prestonwood Baptist that takes donations and sells them at very affordable prices.
