I have been trying to sell a crib with rocking chair. I have tried craigslist twice but no one has even called. I would like to donate them to a church or a shelter. Do you know of any place that would be in need of these?

What can I do next?

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. I donated to Jonathan's Place. They help abused children and their mothers. http://www.jpkids.org/

GRACE in grapevine is always looking for this stuff and they keep all their stuff local as well as the money earned from their resale shops.

I donate to the women's shelter in Plano. Hope's Door.

If they do not have anyone who can use it, I go to Allen Community Outreach or a place that takes in families and helps them get back on their feet.

The Samaritan Inn is the only homeless shelter in Collin County. They take in a lot of young families, so they could probably use them.

Sweet Repeats Consignment sale at Trinity Presbyterian Church is put on by the MOPS group. you can opt to sell your items and keep 60% of the profit (70% if you volunteer) and if they don't sell you can choose to have them donated to a shelter here in Mckinney. Its a great opportunity to reach other moms who need items for their families. if you go to the trinity website you can click on a link for MOPS and then get info about the sale. www.tpcmckinney.org

I donated mine to the NICU at the hospital - they wear the ones they have out pretty quick with all the use they get up there. It's something to think about if you want to donate it
