Where is a good barbque place to eat at in the DFW area? My husband would like to go some place other than Dickies and Red Hot and Blue. Nothing wrong with them but needs something different.

Heather's got it! Pappas is excellent. I just tried them for the first time last week. My husband said it's the best he's had since he came to America six years ago. Down home cooking. I didn't care for the fried chicken but the ribs and brisket and sides were great. I'm going to try the BBQ chicken next time.

Anderson's was my all time favorite. I've eaten there for years. The ribs are to die for and the baked potato with BBQ beef in it is massive and sooo good.

I've also heard the original Sonny Bryan's on Inwood I believe, not far from Harry Hines, is supposed to be really good. It's a little shack. I haven't eaten at that specific location but the other Sonny Bryan's I've eaten at are okay. I recommend the pulled pork.

Colters BBQ by the Grapevine Mills Mall has kids eat free on Saturdays. It's a great place to take the kids if you are looking for a good, inexpensive meal!

Here's something for everyone to keep in mind for a great BBQ place that will open early next Spring. It will be located in old downtown Coppell. It's called Hard 8. The original BBQ place is in Stephenville and we ate there this past weekend and there is no comparison. It's the best.

Hi E.!

Since you're in Flowermound, you might want to drive up my way into Lake Dallas and try out Pappas Homestyle Restaurant. His BBQ and sides are awesome!! Go north on I-35, Exit 457A (Lake Dallas/Hickory Creek), stay straight into Lake Dallas, Pappas is on the Right next to Tri-Cities Liquor. You won't be disappointed!!

Another good one that I used to eat at alot when I worked in Dallas is Andersons BBQ. It's on Harry Hines Blvd across from Parkland hospital (not the best area of town, but the BBQ is so worth it!). Easiest way to get there is to go south on I-35, exit Motor St & go left. Turn left on Harry Hines. Andersons will be on the right.

Enjoy!

:-) H.
