Is It Allergies, Asthma or Something Else? Please Help My Son.

I am losing a battle. My son, who is now 2 1/2, was diagnosed with RSV at 3 months. Since then, he has suffered from horrible allergy like symptoms. It doesn't APPEAR it is related to food and more from weeds ect. He has been diagnosed with multiple lung infections, including pneumonia twice THIS year. Now they say he has asthma. He has been on everything including Pulmicort, Albuterol, Xopenex, Clariton, Zyrtec, Flovent and multiple oral steriods and antibiotics. I am scared. I feel that all of this is damaging him and I don't know...

Getting Pregnant & Allergy Medication ...

My last experience w/ mamasource responses was overwhelming wonderful ... I had to try again! My question for you all now is : allergy medications & TRYING to get pregnant. I am one of those Mom's that when pregnant I don't even like to take a Tylenol for a headache. I'd rather suffer it out so that my unborn child doesn't get any of the medication even tho my doc said it's okay once in a while. Anyhow, I have SEVERE year-long allergies & am currently taking Zyrtec D & rhinocort. If I don't - I CANNOT breathe what-so-ever & feel like...

Zyrtec & Breastfeeding

Hi. I'm a mom-to-be, and want to breastfeed when my baby is born. The problem is, I have chronic allergies, and have to take Zyrtec every day. It's the only thing that works for me. I've I don't take it, I get hives and my skin swells- it's not your typical runny eyes, sneazy type of allergies. Nurses, midwives and doctors have told me that Zyrtec will dry-up breast milk. I've asked them if there's an alternative. I really want to breastfeed, and want my baby to have all the benefits of being breastfed. I hope someone out there can help me....
