How to Tell My 6YO Christmas Will Be Smaller??

Like many of you, I looooove Christmas. I have a bad habit of going overboard, but this year we have fallen on hard times (plus adding 2 kids ages 2.5 and 3 months). I want to keep the idea of Santa alive, but how do I tell him there will be sigificantly fewer gifts this year? I think if I use the right language, he will have no issues...(sry for bringing this up pre-Thanksgiving!! With a busy schedule, a budget and three kids I need time to find the bargains :)

I Am Seeking a Good, Honest, Mortgage Broker.

Hi Everyone, I am wondering if any of you have had any good luck with a mortgage broker in the area? My husband and I are looking to buy our first house in Westminster/Broomfield area in a couple of months and we need an honest, trustworthy mortgage broker. A true Christian would be a plus, but if not, at least someone with values that is trustworthy and not looking to scam us out of money with unnecessary fees! If you have any ideas, please help! We want our first house buying experience to be a positive one! Thanks so much! T.

I have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old son. My husband and I know that we want at least one more child. However, we are waiting to have a second child. Along with being a mom, I am also a full-time nursing student. I don't want to have a second child until after I graduate. We plan to get pregnant (well as much as you can plan) at the end of next summer. If all goes according to plan, the kids will be 4 years apart. Some people have taken it upon themselves to tell me that I should not wait so long and that the kids should be closer in...

Being Harassed by CPS Because My 10 Year Old Has a Normal Hygiene Problem

As a parent of a ten year old boy, I've done my research over the last few years as my son has gotten closer to puberty; Both through the web and through family members in many job facets and their experiences that have consistantly told me his behavior is normal. Psychologists, teachers, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles; They all tell me that for a boy of his age, not caring about his hygiene is normal. Given my own experiences with myself and my brother, I can truthfully say that it's not just boys, it's all children. ...

Child Support Dilemma...

I hope you are familiar with my previous post...I am currently living at home with my family to finish school. My boyfriend and I are still together and trying to work things out and get to know one another better since the baby was an accident and everything moved so fast. He is a very cheap guy and thank goodness we received a lot of gifts from family and friends because the lil guy has everything he needs and more. The latest dilemma is this: my child's father has his degree and receives great health insurance as he is a teacher. ...
