What to Buy

Hi. I'm expecting my second baby in a few months. I still have all the basics from my first, but I want to get a few things I wish I had gotten the first time, as well as a few things that are new or I didn't know about before. Any advise on the best brand and or what to buy and not to buy? -sling or wrap -hooter hider -bumpo chair -video monitor -a really comfy nursing chair -bottle warmer -wipes warmer -pack'n play or bassinet with changing table attachment (I used a bassinet before, but got rid of it since it was a hand-me...

What Do I Really Need for a Second Baby?

Prior to being on bed rest I did not want a second baby shower. I was so fortunate to receive so many gifts the first time around! Being on bed rest really changed my mind. I am marking the days until this shower which will happen after I pass 32 weeks, and my doctor has given me permission to attend and sit up at the party! I was asked to create a registry and I tried to. I didn't want people spending their hard earned money when I have so much from when my son was born two years ago.I am mainly just wanting to celebrate the friendships...

We're Expecting! What Do I Need to Know Now?

Hubby & I just found out yesterday that we will be expecting our first!! We are beyond amazed at how quickly it happened and could not be any more excited!!! We both have been preparing for this day- eating right, taking vitamins (prenatal for me), exercising, etc. Now that I am pregnant what else should I be aware of as far as foods to stay away from, exercise routines, personal health, etc. Thanks so much in advance! You ladies are super fabulous!

Best Baby Carrier?

I currently have the Native Carrier sling. THis sling is great but I can already tell it won't last long as my baby will soon outgrow it. I'd say I have one more month of use. The slings are also difficult when bending over. So, I'm looking at different carriers such as the Bjorn, backpack carriers, and the hip carrier. I'm really leaning towards the Ella Roo hip carrier as I feel baby is most secure when there are straps and buckles rather than just stretched material held together by a ring. If any of you aboslutely LOVE your carrier or...

Baby Carrier Recommendations?

I just found out that I'm expecting my third baby. I'm wanting to get a carrier that I really love, this time. I'm looking for something that is VERY comfortable, I can put on/take off quickly, and is versatile for all sizes of babies. (Although I mostly expect to use it for the new baby, I may also occasionally want to carry my toddler in it.) Based on the reviews I've read, I think I have it narrowed to the Ergo, Beco Butterfly 2, Beco Gemini, or Boba 3g. I have heard the most positive reviews for the Ergo, but I'm concerned that it...

Just for Fun -- Most Used Baby Item

I am putting together a basket for my sister in law who is having her second (after a 6 year gap) (due in July) of "my favorite things" after having my 8 month old. Any suggestions would be appreciated, So far, I have a set of books by Helen Oxenburry, a container of Boogie Wipes, a floppy sun hat, a set of light weight receiving blankets (swaddle wraps) and a pinky purse. What other things to include???? Thanks!
