Need Reassurance About After School Care

I am going back to work after several years at home and my child (age 10) will be going to after school care. It is on-site at his school. We love the school, and we know the teachers and they are wonderful. Even with that said, it is an emotional decision. He is an only child so I think it will be nice for him to be with friends, but my heart hurts when I think about not being there to pick him up right away when school lets out. 9-Year-old Asking About Sex

My daughter has asked me what the word sex means and what sex is. She is 9. I explained to her that some questions are very difficult to answer and that I would like some time to think about it so I answer it the best way I can. She accepted that but I feel I need to give her an answer soon. Any suggestions? How much should a 9-year-old know? Help with Sick Child

I am needing some advice with my sons health. He is 3 years old, will be 4 in August. He has allergies to food, pets and outdoor irritants. He also has asthma. It seems like he is always sick. Either a virus, strep throat, ear infections pretty much the common things that children get - but it seems like he ALWAYS has something. Winter time is the worse. His asthma is under control with medication - we did have a rough winter though and he was on Prednisone 4 times from about Nov. - March. He sees an allergist and a dermatologist regularly,...
