Day Out with Thomas

Chicago, IL

Has anyone gone to Day out with Thomas at the Illinois Railway Museum? We are planning on taking our little Thomas fan (age 2) to the event on the opening morning, Friday. However my husband and grandma, who is coming with have been a little startled by rumors of the insanity. So here are my questions: - It opens at 9, but the site mentions the lot opens at 7:30, do people really start lining up that early? - Do we need to buy tickets ahead of time? Does it make the morning easier? - Really, how insane is it? - Any tips on making it a smooth and fun morning? Thanks!

Good Games?

Green Bay, WI

I would like to get the boys a PS2 game for Christmas. I am completely lost when it comes to video games other than Tetris and old school arcade type games. I'm looking for suggestions that would be appropriate for a 7 and a 10 year old. Thanks in advance for any ideas/input.

I Need Help with a Night on the Town with My Husband and Friends.

Dallas, TX

My husband and I, along with some other couples, want to go out and have some fun - sans kiddos. We're looking for a grown up bar/club, where we won't run into a bunch of young people out looking for that night's hook-up. We want a place where we can sit, have drinks and relax - maybe some live music, pool tables an option, etc. . . But we would like it within walking distance of a decent hotel, so everyone can enjoy a few drinks without having to worry about driving. Does anyone have any suggestions that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks, ladies!!

Keeping Toddler Occupied

Dallas, TX

Hello Moms, I am a mom of a "spirited" 2 year old boy. We are travelling to Europe this summer and I would love to get some ideas, like little games or books, to keep my little one occupied in the long flight. Also,I hate the idea of using a child safety harness,I have never used one till now, but I really don't know how else I will be able to catch up with him in crowded places. I would like some suggestions on that too.
