We are still looking into all our options for 1st grade for my son for next year. Does anyone have children that attend or know anything about Tree Tops School International in Euless?
Any insight is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi R.! Thanks for asking this question! I don't have any insight, but we're considering putting my son in Treetops in the fall for kindergarten. He has a summer birthday, and I think the smaller setting would be beneficial to him. I'll be checking back to see if you get any more responses - it's great to hear from parents of kids who actually go there!

I actually went to Treetops (a loooong time ago!) from K-7th grade and my sister went from Pre-K - 6th grade. I'm not sure what it is like now since becoming a charter school, when we went it was a tuitioned private school. We both had a wonderful experience there. It is small and very hands on with an emphasis on Montessori style education. The teachers were wonderful & caring! They also did a lot of things outdoors and really tried to incorporate nature into the education. Treetops was also very focused on the green movement before it became the trendy thing to do (not that it's a bad thing that everyone had become more aware!). I'm not sure what else I can tell you except that we both really enjoyed going there. Good luck!!!

I have a grandson who has attended Treetops for 7 years. He is now a sophmore. We couldn't be happier with this school. Lots of teacher parent interaction, great teachers who are interested in the students and their education. I know some of the teachers who could make more money teaching elsewhere, but realize their being at Tretops is very beneficial to the students. I would recommend it to anyone.

Hi, both of our children go to Treetops and we really like it. They are now in 2nd and 6th grade and have been there for about a year and a half. I like the smaller class sizes and the overall smaller size of the school. They do a lot of things outside and incorporate the nature that is around them. If you have any specific questions please feel free to email me.

I know of one grandparent who's granddaughter goes there after falling behind in public school by 6th grade. The girl was a student of mine and struggled to focus and get organized in middle school. She didn't do well in one reading class, so they brought her to mine halfway through the year. She made no improvements. Sweet girl, just other issues at work. The grandparent has updated me with positive progress. I will say, though, if you have issues with the TAKS test, I believe they conform to the TEKS which may be the case for charter schools in general.

My neighbors send their 3 kids there and they LOVE it. I'm sorry I don't have any specifics.
I send my Kinder kiddo to Arlington Classics Academy and we are very happy with that school. MIght be a bit of a drive for you if you're in Euless.

I teach in the area and the families I know that have left public school for Tree Top have a kid that can't make it in public school due to behavior problems or ADD. Two of my students went the following school year and returned to public school at Christmas. Both returned behind academically and had not improved their reading skills from when they left me.
