I'm not sure what brand you are using, but if you haven't tried Nestle's Follow-Up formula, give it a shot. Try mixing in a little fruit to add some flavor. At this stage of his development, he still needs the formula, but at a lesser and lesser rate as he adds more solids to his diet. 5 or 6 8 oz bottles sounds like a lot, but then, you have a boy and they tend to take more. I agree with the other poster who said try a sippy cup & let him have it during his meals. Ask your pediatrician how much formula vs. solids he should have at his stage of development. A lot depends more on his activity level rather than his chronological age--is he crawling or scooting, pulling to a stand, or even walking? (it can happen! I walked at 8 months & my husband at 7..our poor moms!)
