We just moved here from California last week and would love a recommendation for a good pediatritian near Lynnwood,WA. I don't just want to chose a random person off our insurance list.
Also, what or where do you take kids? I've seen some great parks, but any ideas for rainy day activities?

What can I do next?

I LOVE my doctor, who is also my daughter's doc. Brandy Ross, ND, LM here's her website: http://moonrisehealth.com/

She is so good at listening, very caring and nice, great with kids, and best of all she always tries to help naturally first before putting us on meds, and so far, everything she's given us has worked. My daughters and I have never needed manufactured antibiotics - just natural ones!

Welcome! If you're on Facebook join the group "Edmonds moms". Tons of advice and ideas about both of these subjects! We go to Richmond pediatrics in shoreline an love Melissa Walsh and several others there. If that's too far try the Childrens clinic of Snohomish county, located in the Kruger clinic building on 216th and 99. The libraries are always full of storytimes, the parks and Rec centers have great classes and activities, mountlake terrace pool is fantastic. Check out the FLED programs at Edmonds community college, we go to the center for families coop preschool in that same building and love it! There's chuck e cheese, Alderwood mall play area by sears, creation station, pump it up, imagine Childrens museum in Everett, cascade elite gymnastics, Spartan gym in shoreline, creative dance center in shoreline or bothell, Gymboree classes in Lynnwood, tot spot cafe, kids n coffee, Frances Anderson center in Edmonds, and many more! Feel free to message me anytime if you have questions! We have two girls, ages 3 and 6.

I'm trying to move to California because the rain is sooooo bad here!! Anyway, there are a number of good kid museums around. The one in Everett is great. There are also a number of indoor playgrounds where people take their kids. Check your local community centre, but Kirkland has one in their North community centre if not and it's not too far from Lynwood. There's a number of places like Gymboree and Great Play and My Gym that have classes for kids and Alderwood Mall has a great play area for kids which is usually packed in the winter, but still a great free place for kids to play. Bellevue also has one for a change of scenery. Hope that helps!
Not sure about docs in Lynwood, but we go to Lakeshore Clinic in Kirkland and I like Dr. Chaput. There are some good docs at their sister clinic in Bothell if that helps. It's not too far from Lynwood...
