If you are willing to make the drive, Ebenezer by Fairview Ridges in Burnsville is GREAT! My 2 1/2 yr old goes there. The intergenerational learning center on pilot knob in eagan is also supposed to be really good. I would stay away from any of the big names, they are usually not run well, but everyone trusts them just because they have heard of them. I worked in a New Horizon... they have to be the worst! Though I have talked to a few people who worked for Children's World and think it is even worse, anything by KLC Learning is the same as Children's World.

Montessori's are supposed to be really good too (for development). But most of the ones I called only take children after they are potty trained, and are more of just a preschool program.

I've always heard great things about Kindercare, and Montessori's. Every New Horizon I've been in I've disliked.

There is a very nice woman in Rosemount that has been taking care of my baby for me while she has been unemployed, and is wonderful with children. She's the kind of person you trust and immediately like - once you meet her. I convinced her, due to the horrible job market to get her IN-home daycare license, and make a living doing what she is so good at. She did it.
My child adores her. Her home is on the border of Rosemount and Apple Valley near the MN Zoo. She will be accepting children starting in late January (licensed) and I'm trying to figure out a way to help her, and others. I know she is planning on only charging like $175 dollars a week for FT and personally, I think she's worth more. Some of the daycare centers are okay, but the idea of my child being in a structured/rigid setting and sharing a caregivers attention with HOW MANY other children.....was just too much for me. Lori this person I speak of is only taking a small amount of children in her care. She has done so much for me and my baby girl. If you want to consider her, you can reach her with any questions you might have. ###-###-####. Good luck.

The intergenerational center in Eagan is very nice. But they have a waiting list. If you are due in April, I would get on the list now if you like it there. Also the New horizon on Pennock is horrible. I had to tkae my five year old out for several reasons.
