HELP! I am looking for a kind, caring female gynecologist in the Fort Worth area. I have not had a GYN visit since my middle son was born 15 years ago! I hit the big 5-0 recently and need to go in for a general going over as well as to discuss routine issues women my age start facing. I am very self-conscience about being in my "all together" as I am quite overweight. In fact, this is the main reason I have avoided this visit. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance but would like to stay in the Fort Worth area. Thanks for any help anyone can pass along.

Hil I an a gyn specialty tech in surgery at a large hospital here in Fort Worth. Dr. Cynthia Robbins is GREAT. You may have to wait a while to get into her office, but it will be worth the wait. I've had the same OB, Gyn for 14 years! She delivered all three of my children, and also my surgery when I had a tubal pregancy. I have had a couple of time sensetive issues, and she acted very quickly! She is a great person, along with being a great doctor. She spends time with her patients, listens to them, and asks/answers lots of questions. She does not over-medicate. Her staff is fantastic, and they all seem to really care about their patients. She is located inside of Harris Southwest right off Bryant Irvin. Her name is Donna Kolar. I would recommend her to anyone!

I see Dr. Lori Atkins as well and we love her. (by "we", I mean my husband and I -- she's my OB). My sister has seen Dr. Motley because Atkins' office stopped taking her insurance and she really liked her, too. The number I have for Dr. Atkins is ###-###-####. I really liked Dr. Lori Atkins who is an OB as well as Gyn. I went to her as an older (late 30's) OB patient and like you, I am plus-sized. She is at Baylor in the Bryant-Irvin/Overton Ridge area.
Hello D.P. I am about your age. I found a wonderful Dr. to go to. She is one of the best Doctors i have ever in my life been too.Her name is Mickey Hooper,1300 W. Terrell Suite 360,Ft. Worth.phone ###-###-####.They are by Harris Hospital. I went in March & they were suppose to move, i think right next to the building they were in. I suppose you can still reach them at this same number. I have been dealing with issues & she even gave me a low dose of hormones. She is so sweet,kind, & gentle.All her staff is excellent also.I hope this helps you.
Dr. Jennifer Motley is wonderful too. SHe is in the same practice as Dr. Gardner. They are both excellent. Dr. Motley delivered my last baby. I love her to death. She is in south Fort Worth.
If you want somebody closer to downtown, then Dr. CYnthia Robbins is excellent too. She delivered my first two, but she isn't on my insurance. I loved her also. She was always there to answer questions.
I would highly recommend either one of them to anybody.
