Has anyone sold stuff to this store? Is it worth it or should I just sell my son's outgrown (and yet in great condition) clothing and toys in a yard sale? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Yard sale! I took two boxes of good clothing - no stains, not faded and in most cases barely worn - they wanted to give little to nothing for them, it was insulting! They tried to tell me they were faded or stained, SO NOT TRUE! I do not pass on those type of clothes, plus I do not even put my clothes thru the dryer so they don't get faded. I went through the store and found many, many items that were faded and in poor condition - they were selling them for 5.00 & 10.00! For the few items they were willing to buy, I wasn't about to let them make 500% profit off of them while giving me close to nothing. I took my boxes back to my house and gladly sold them at my yard sale...

Yard sale for the clothes! I was shocked at what they rejected, including a pristine Florence Eisenman dress. I don't mind so much that they offer a fraction of what the clothes are worth, because it's like Half Price Books--they have to make a profit. I did mind what they refused to take, though. I hauled a lot of clothes to that store and they accepted maybe 1/6th of what I took in. It wasn't worth the time.

I have heard that toys, baby swings, high chairs, etc. go for a much better price.

I have sold some things there. They pay better for baby "gear" than for clothes. I sold them a 10 year old pack n play (in great condition) & got a better price than I would in a garage sale.

Have you considered donating it and getting a receipt from the shelter as a tax write off? Just another option to think about.

Sell it at a yard sale, or on craigslist!

I took an awesome, $50 firetruck in there and they wanted to give me $2. It was in perfect condition...

Just between Friends is coming to Mesquite the first week in August. Check out the website and see about consigning your stuff.

If you are willing to put in the time, you will get WAY more money than Once Upon a Child (or Kid to Kid) OR a garage sale if you do a consignment sale, like Just Between Friends. The one in Fort worth is AWESOME. Super organized. Do all the tagging online, print the barcodes from your own printer. It really doesn't take any more effort than a garage sale and you'll get a lot more money for your stuff. Google JBF-Fort Worth.
