Hey girl, congratulations on your expanding family.

In my experience, Dr. Brent Pugh is fantastic. He is located near Jordan Landing at the Jordan Landing Clinic. You can find him in the white pages under Pugh. He is patient centered and treats patients with a more holistic approach. He supports breastfeeding and not giving antibiotics unless absolutely needed among other things. Also I have never seen a more friendly and caring nursing staff. They have blown me away.
Last thing, no matter who you choose, make sure you jive with them. There are some crummy doctors out there and your gut will tell you who is right.

Good luck,
A.

I don't know where you are located, but my son has been seeing Dr. Brian Buchanan at Southpointe Pediatrics on 9000 South and 1300 West and we really like him. My OBGYN referred me to him because that is where he takes his children. There have been a few times where we have had to get my son in last minute, and we can usually get in the same day with one of the other doctors (there are 5 in the office and they are all fabulous). I am not sure what insurance you have, but that would be one I would call on. Their telephone number is ###-###-####. Depending on where you are delivering, Southpointe Pediatrics are the on-call doctors at Jordan Valley Hospital, so if you are delivering there, it wouldn't be much of a stretch for your child to see the drs in the hospital. They even have a few clinic hours on Saturdays...which is a huge benefit for us. Good luck on the Pediatrician search!!

I am a 27 year old mother to an 18 month old son and a 7 year old step-daughter. I have been married for 3 years, but have been with my husband for 6 years. I absolutely LOVE being a mother.

If you don't mind travelling to West Jordan, the doctors at the Southwest Children's Clinic are all very good. It's an all-female staff. They are located just off of 90th South and Redwood, behind the Golden Corral. Their phone number is ###-###-####. I'd suggest calling to make sure they are still accepting new patients, and that your insurance is accepted in their office.
