Need Night Time Diaper Suggestions Please

I need some suggestions on what brand/type of diaper to use for night time. We have used Pampers Diapers up until they switched to the Dry Max technology. The new diapers always leaked. We used the regular diapers during the day and then the Premium Absorbency cruisers at night. Luckily we had bought two boxes of those right before the switch so we have had plenty until now. Had we known they were going to be discontinued, we would have stocked up on them. Anyway, back to my point. We are about to run out of them. I know there are several types of overnight diapers on the market but I haven't tried any of them yet. I would like to know what other moms use. My daughter wets a lot at night, so I need something that will hold up without leaking. She is 15 months and in size 4 diapers if that helps you answer better. Thanks in advance for the help!

So What Happened?

Thank you mommies for all the advice. Since an overwhelming majority suggested Huggies Overnight, we bought those in one size larger than her daytime diaper and they have worked wonders! We have had no leaks for the last few nights and she still seems comfortable. Thank you all for saving me the time and money on trying out different types of diapers!

I am a self proclaimed evangelist for Huggies! We use their Snug N Dry fit for the day, and their Overnights for night time. Never had a leak.
We've tried other brands, but none of them are as consistent (particularly Pampers).

Geez, I sound like a commercial....

We always used Pampers so I am not able to give advice on that but I have a friend that had a daughter that peed a lot at night and always leaked so she would go in right before she went to bed and change her daughter everynight. Around 11pm and then that way the 2nd diaper would last throught the night. Some children pee more than others so there might not be a diaper that lasts all night for her. It also depends how long she sleeps. My friend's daughter would go to sleep at 8pm and then she would change her at 11:00pm and then it would last until her 7am wake up time.
Maybe other moms will have the right diaper for you.

The same thing happened to me! It is such a bother when things are discontinued... I so far have tried the Huggies Overnights and they are working well. Even with the cruisers there were nights when my son would wet through anyways and this is actually now happening less with Huggies, so I may stick to them...
I will be curious to see what other moms post. Good luck!

Huggies Overnights hands down! I used them for my little boy and baby girl. They come in sizes four and five and maybe six now. Never had a problem with leaking and they are wonderful!

I use Huggies overnights for my son...he sleeps on his stomach so I check on him in the middle of the night to make sure he hasnt leaked through. Sometimes I need to change him, but most of the time he is just fine until morning :)

My DD (2 1/2) is also a heavy nighttime wetter. We use either Huggies Overnights or the Pampers Nighttime diapers 1 size larger than her regular diapers (normally wears a 4 during day, 5 at night). We have been using them for the last 1 1/2 years or so & have only had maybe one that soaked through.

I tried every brand when my son was still in diapers (hallelujah we have a potty trained boy!) and the best overnight solution I found was a Huggies Supreme, they are even more absorbent than the Overnights in my experience. But the real trick is diaper covers. I had some of the fancy ones from when I stupidly thought I could cloth diaper, but the super cheap Gerber plastic pants work just as well and are so thin. A nice thick Huggies Supreme and then a diaper cover, and I kid you not, I never once had to change sheets in the night time.

We always used Pampers Baby Dry for my son and I never cared for Huggies.... except for Huggies Overnites. They are the only thing that worked (we still had occasional leaks during the night - but still better than anything else we tried). After a while I started buying Huggies Overnites in a size bigger than what he was wearing during the day because that helped, too. Changing crib sheets everyday stinks!! Good luck!

Go up to size 5 diapers for night time. My 2 year old wears size 5 during the day, but size 5 leaks at night so I put size 6 on him at night and those don't leak. Both my boys have been like this. They've always been small and low weight, however, the smaller diapers that fit didn't absorb enough for their bladder size. So, we had to go up a size larger for night diapers to accommodate for the size of their bladders.

my little girl is following in their steps. She's almost 8 months old now and while weight wise, she fits size 3, her bladder is too large for them and she leaks even in the day time. We just put her in size 4 diapers and while the tabs meet in the middle to hold the diaper on, she doesn't leak any more.

Looks like Huggies overnights are the winners... you may also try going up a size at night... gives it more absorbancy. Good luck!

I use huggies little cruisers and you can sign up for coupons on their sight and receive them monthly. they work great! They are cheapest at walmart and I think publix is still running a special through the rest of the month that if you buy a name brand like Huggies they will give you a the same size package of their store brand free, there are no signs but just ask your local Publix.

I like Huggies for during the day, but I prefer the Pampers nighttime diapers for bedtime. But I do use a size bigger for bedtime also.

We are having the same problem. We just found a new product. At the moment my son is sleeping so I can't tell you the exact name, but we purchachased them at Babies R Us. They cost right around $3.99 and look like Maxi pads to be honest. I wasn't sure about them at first, but my husband said, If they didn't work out we wasted $4.00 instead of the cost of a package of overnight diapers." You take this pad and place it inside the diaper. It basically absorbs the urine so it doesn't leak. We've been using it for about a week and we've had ZERO accidents in bed. I LOVE it. I'm sorry to not be able to tell you the name of it, but the package is white and has a duck on it, comes with 30 in a pack, and was in the diaper asile. I really can't reccommend them enough....they are cheap and really do work for us. Good luck!

My son is 9 1/2 month and also uses size 4. I also use Pampers and didn't have problem with the Dry Max. We just finished one box of those and now we are trying out the Pampers Baby Dry. They are for night time use but I also use them on him during the day since he is crawling around alot now. So far no leaks. Not sure if you want to give it a try.

My son is going on 9 months - he leaked with the Huggies Overnights. I found a Fisher Price Overnights brand at Babies R Us that for the most part work. I also bought those rubber "pants" that go over the diaper for extra protection. He sleeps through the night so Im not able to change him.
