Need a Doctor!

My wonderful doctor is leaving his practice at Healtheast in Woodbury. He was both my doctor as well as the doctor for my son. I am looking for a great family doctor that delivers babies at Woodwinds Hospital (preferably). Any suggestions? I am willing to travel anywhere in the South and East metro areas. I enjoy going the family practice route vs. OBGYN because there is consistency with the medical care and our doctor sees our entire family. I'm hoping to find another good one! :)

What can I do next?

I second the Dr. Ilko vote! He is so great and delivers at Woodwinds and Children's in St. Paul. (When I had my first Woodwinds was full so we had to go over to Children's) It is also nice to know that your dr. will be the one delivering your baby.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ilko Family Medicine on the corner of Woodlane and Valley Creek Road. He catches his own babies and I know that he delivers at Woodwinds, although I have never delivered there myself. He also spends time with his patients and answers your questions. I never feel rushed like I'm just a number and need to get out, like you sometimes do with the larger clinics. I really appreciate the fact that he usually is able to get you in on the same day (if calling before noon) and also has evening appointments one day per week. The down side, is that sometimes the clinic is closed when he is on vacation - which is not very often. We have also chosen to go the Family Practice route and were ecstatic when we found Dr. Ilko. He couldn't decide between OB and Peds when he was in med school, so chose Family Practice where he could do both. My husband appreciates him as well, so I know that as a family we can give high kudos!

Hi A.,

I see Dr. Jennifer Belik at the Healtheast Woodbury Clinic (inside Woodwinds) and she is very nice and knowledgeable. She was my Dr. for a year and then I became pregnant and she delivered my little girl at Woodwinds. She is now my daughter's Dr. too - I find it very convenient and nice that she knows my whole family and is able to treat all of us.

Good luck! C.

I go to Family Health Services Minnesota (formerly Minnhealth Family Physcians)in Woodbury and I see Dr. Linse. She is the family doctor for myself and my 3 children. My husband see's Dr. Cunningham, he is also very nice. Dr. Linse has delivered 2 of my 3 children and has delivered my sister's son as well. She delivers at Woodwinds and St. Johns.
