Does anyone know of a good Used Car Dealership in the Plano Area or surrounding area? We are in need of a larger vehichle, with this third one on the way and now our current car is starting to have transmission trouble. Please, can anyone tell me where I can find a good mini-van or suburban where I won't get ripped off? I'm still really new to the neighborhood. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hey, everyone! Thank you so much for all your suggestions but I found a place in Bonham that had some wonderful deals! It was definately worth the drive. They got us in a GREAT used van, low mileage, only 2 yrs. old, and in perfect working order! The salesman was wonderful! They nicknamed him Jake by the lake. He listened to what we needed and narrowed it down to 2-3 possiblities. But we ended up in his number one pick. This guy was so patient, answered all our questions and even got us the lowest price the company was willing to give! We are completely satisfied! These guys ROCK!!!

We have always had very good luck w/ Enterprise. We went to the one that was down in Dallas- bought 3 cars from them! Sadly, they have closed, bujt we will probably go to the one in Plano when we need another car. My parents have bough 2cars from the Enterprise in California.
What they offer are the cars that have been in the rental fleet for a year- b/c they have been rentals they are very well maintained, clean vehicles. They tend to have a little higher milage, but witin 2 years I end up right at the "average" for a used car.
The Enterprise car sales is on Coit just South of Plano Parkway.

If you want a big selection of larger vehicles and don't quite know what you want yet, I would go to Carmax. If you know what you want, then you could call around to some of the dealerships mentioned by the other posters and make sure they have it before driving all around.

I work for a company that all I do is service some of the local dealerships (Honda, Acura, Nissan, Lexus, Toyota, Infiniti and Subaru) if you need contact names for any of these dealerships let me know. Some of the dealerships are easy to work for and some are not.

I would recommend David McDavid Honda in Frisco, Nissan of Mckinney, Toyota of Richardson, and Toyota of Plano. There are really a lot of nice people at all of the dealers if you know who to talk to.

We have a 2003 Chevy Suburban for sale. It's in excellent shape - low miles, only 42,000. We bought it new, and it's never been wrecked or anything. Runs perfect. We just don't need 2 SUV's anymore (we also have an Explorer). It is loaded (except we opted for cloth seats instead of leather). It has the dvd player in back for the kids also. We just want to get what we still owe on it which is $18,500. I know they are selling on the used car lots for over $21,000 with all the options we have on it. If you are interested you can e-mail me cirectly at: ____@____.com
Thanks

Hi H.,

I'm gonna second that response that mentioned Enterprise Used Car Dealership. It's in plano. I used to work for enterprise (not the car dealership but was a management trainee of a rental place) but i know several people that have purchased cars from them and they were very satisfied! One of which was my mother, who is very picky and maticulous about anything she purchases. What I love about them is the standard of used car you will get. They are all cars that are used for their rentals, and once they get to a certain mileage I think, they send them to the dealership. I know first hand that they take very good care of the cars as it relates to maintenance and their standards are so high as to what they will allow to even go to used car dealership. Each car has to meet a certain criteria. There is a bottom line price that they will be asking for each vehicle, so no worries about getting ripped off or having to haggle prices. Everyone I know that has bought from them has said they can't believe what they got for the money. And they have a variety of different vehicles to choose from. I really think you should look into them. Good Luck!

We recently (almost two weeks ago) finally bought a car through David Mc David in Frisco. My husband and I looked EVERYWHERE at all different cars. We have two children- 3yrs and 21 mos and are expecting our third Nov.1 so we also needed a larger vehicle. We ended up purchasing a Honda Odyssey through McDavid and have been nothing but pleased with the whole experience. It turned out that right before we got our van, the dealership got in their 2007s so we got an excellent deal on a 2006!! We also saw one at CarMax that we were interested in purchasing, but it was sold before we could get there. My mom bought her car at a CarMax and loved her experience as well! Good luck!

We know people who have bought 2 cars from Hertz car sales. They've closed some of their lots, but the Dallas area one might still be running. I think they're at www.hertzcarsales.com. Also, we've leased one car from D & M Auto Leasing and bought a minivan from them. They use www.superiorleasing.com for their sales. You can browse their current inventory online. It's kept up to date almost daily. Our guy was Mark Eachus. It was the most painless car-buying experience ever. We'll likely buy our next one from them. Tell him M. Francis sent you!

Hi there. My husband is an internet/used car salesperson at David McDavid in Frisco. He will go out of his way to find you what you need. He worked for Saturn for a very long time and was trained by them to do the right thing for the customer and not to play games when it comes to pricing the car. You can contact him directly at ###-###-####, his name is Joe. He can even find you a car you are looking for if they dont have one on their lot right now.

Hi H.,
I am not sure if you are interested in buying from a private seller, but I am currently trying to sell my mini van. I provided the link for it from our ad on Cars.com. We just listed it a week ago. It is in EXCELLENT condition and we are just trying to get our finances under control. I work/stay home and it sits in the drive way at least five days a week; kind of hard to justify a car payment under these circumstances. I absolutely love this vehicle and hope to buy one just like it in the future once we pay down some other debt. Call if you have questions or want to stop by and take a look. ###-###-####
