Inexpensive Beach Wedding

My sister just recently got engaged! She wants a beach wedding for 100 guests. As is with most couples, money is tight. Any recommendations? Orange County or LA county beaches are great. She will also consider Central Coast beaches, but not San Diego County as it is too far for both sides of the families.

So What Happened?

Thanks for the suggestions! I forwarded them on to my sister and she actually decided on a not-so-inexpensive place in the Malibu/Agoura Hills area. The wedding is scheduled for late summer next year so that is plenty of time for the two of them to save up for and plan together the wedding of their dreams!

There is the Cabrillo Pavillion Arts Center in Santa Barbara. It is a Spanish Moorish building right on the beach. The upstairs is a lovely room that is frequently used for wedding receptions. I went to a church service there on Xmas Eve. Here's the link http://www.santabarbaraca.gov/beachfront/pdf/CPACFEES.pdf I don't know if the prices would be considered "inexpensive". But it is a lovely place to have a late afternoon wedding and evening reception.

Try La Palapa in Long Beach. I've see beautiful weddings there on the beach! Also, she could think about doing an off day like Friday or Sunday & see if they would charge less. Most places do. Congrats! http://www.lapalapadelmar.com/

I don't have any recommendations, but some suggestions for wedding favors. A friend had a beach wedding and handed out starfish and sand dollars as favors. Also, for the favors, you'll only need about half of the total guest amount. Guys don't usually take favors.
