Lots of walking and sex are both known to induce labor. Also have someone give you a long foot massage. Certain points in the foot are suppose to trigger labor when rubbed!

Hope that helps and good luck :)

Hey B. It's me S.. (Talia's mom) I know this sounds crazy, but if you stimulate your nipples that starts contractions. My doctor told me that. I'll see you at school tomorrow

Yes, there are ways. First, sex and nipple stimulation are great starters. Also there are some herbs you can take that are natural. Walking helps too. Also, you can see a accupuncturist for this too. I had a client that was due any day and she went for a week to get this done and by the 3rd time, she was in labor right after her last treatment with him. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, you can email me. If you did not know already, I am a labor doula, so I have learned all this from training and 5 years of being a doula.

Hi B.,
I was 11 days late with my son. I tried EVERYTHING !!! No luck. We induced at the hospital. I wanted to tell you this because I kept getting more and more frustrated with anything and everything I could do. I did colonics, spicy food, sex, walking whatever anyone suggested. I also tried reflexology. which is working on the feet to stimulate the uterus. I would go to a professional if you want to try it. The woman I saw was in the city but you may find someone close to you by doing a search or check with a local health food store. For your sake I hope some of the things work but try to not get discouraged if it doesnt. Good Luck !

Sorry I don't have any direct experience or expertise, but I "have heard" about stimulating nipples, doing yoga or other relatively strenuous (but not something out of your normal pregnancy routine) and spicy foods.

I delivered a bit early (37.5 weeks)... I attributed it to spicey tapas and a glass of sangria the night before. ; - )

My midwife recommended Mineral Oil and Red Raspberry Leaf Tea for me when I was a week overdue with my daughter. I would ask your midwife or ob/gyn for advice... you don't want to go into labor TOO early to be healthy for you and your baby.

Congratulations on your pregnancy,
Amanda
