The first week of September 2006, I quit my corprate job to stay home with my children and hoped to make up the lost income by providing daycare in my home. I have a couple of children that I watch on a regular basis but they are children of my ex co-workers. I tried passing out flyers and news paper ads but I do not get that great of a response. I am hoping that maybe some of you other home daycare providers can help by telling my how you advertise. Thanks for all your help!

Arizona Childcare Resource and Referral is the way to go as long as you are willing to go through the background check, etc. Then they will list your Daycare. That's how I found my daycare provider and she said she gets tons of calls thanks to them.

Hi C.,
I have been doing in home childcare for almost 3 years and I receive most of my children through my church. A lot of churches or schools will allow you to advertise on a bulletin board or some have a book. In the beginning I advertised in the newspapers but it doesn't always work. Child Care Resource and Referral is another great place. Now that I have been doing it for awhile I get a lot of referrals from my current parents so I stay full. Where are you located? If you need anymore help let me know. It is always nice to talk with other providers.

Good luck!
M.

hi! try www.ourqueencreek.com
I advertised my working from home business from there and have had good responses. If you need safe cleaners for your daycare/home let me know and I can get you the info. Hope this helps!

Hi C.! I'm sure you've gotten this response by now, but try craigslist.com. I found my last nanny that way and she was wonderful! It's a free online resource for lots of things. Good luck!

I put an ad on craigslist.org. I filled up pretty quick. Mothers also put ads on there if they are looking for someone. I found one lady on there that way too. I also spent like $60 (something like that) and made magnets for my car. I have been turning people away because I am full. Where are you located? I could maybe send a few people your way, if you are in my area. Email me at ____@____.com with your info. I am pretty new at this as well but so far its going pretty good. Good Luck
My next step was also Arizona Child Resources but I dont need them after all, well, not yet :)
