Gifts with a Twist

I have a friend turning 50. The husband is having a party and has asked for no gifts, unless gag. I was going to give her 50 candy kisses, for when she feels like she needs a little love, and 50 paperclips, for when she needs a little help holding it together.
Does anyone have any other ideas that would go along with this idea???

What can I do next?

For my husband's 40th, someone made a black wreath with 40 suckers stuck in it and had a little sign that said 40 Sucks. I thought that was really cute!

50 kleenex's when she's watching a favorite tear-jerker movie

50 favorite pictures from years past,

Solicit "memories" from other people who know her for a book of "50 favorite memories" (you could incorporate the picture idea with this and make it a combination of pictures and stories)

a bottle of 50 aspirin's for when she needs a "night off" from her husband

50 "cupid arrows" (or even construction paper hearts) to "hit" her husband with when she wants attention from him

come up with a list of 50 funny ways to avoid housework or 50 funny ways to try to get housework done

Just a few things I thought of - for what it's worth - and good luck!

Cute ideas you have there.....I usually save this for age 60 but you could include tweezers and a magnifying mirror (reasonable at Big Lots) for all the facial hair she will have to keep up with from now on....always good to be prepared!

When my aunt turned 50, we put together an "old lady kit" and gave her geritol, ben-gay, stool softener, tylenol for those aches and pains, Milk of Magnesia, ace bandages and other "old people" items. It was fun watching her pull them all out...she sat there and bawled while laughing.

A friend of mine turned 50 and she received a Blow Pop sucker tree (or you can use a vase with a ribbon tied) with 50 blow pop suckers and a sign that says 50 sucks. It was really cute.

using your idea -- and putting it in a cute little gift bag, I'd add post-it notes for when you walk into the room and forget why you went in there. I'm 50+ and I write notes to myself everywhere! other ideas for the goody bag: a nice pen, moisturizer (face or body)--we dry out.
