I'd like to do a photoshoot with my little boy when he turns one next month. I would like something fun, not plain old portraits like you'd get at Walmart (but I definately cannot afford those cool high end photographers) Ideally, I'd like to be able to purchase high resolution pics on a DVD instead of prints.
Any suggestion?
My sister is a photographer and she will come to you or any other place that you would like pictures taken. She is very reasonable and will give you a CD with copies of the digital pictures so that you can print them anywhere. Her website is journeysoflifephotography.com. I have a 8 month old and she has taken some great pictures of him.

I like Kelly Marie. She photographed my daughter and it was a ton of fun. She has a studio in Mpls and does many sittings on location at parks and what not. She is quite reasonably priced and you get a cd with the pictures. Here is her info

She came to us in St. Paul and we took pics at St. Kate's duck pond of my two-year old son. I was hesitant to pay for professional photography because I think they all look too posed and don't like the studio shots at all. These were amazing! She has three small kids and I think is especially gifted at children's photography. Her sitting fee was only $40 for an hour and she got us back the pics within a week.
I highly recommend Andrew VonBank. He is in St. Paul and can do shoots at his house or on location. He is great with kids and reasonably priced. You get the disc and the rights to all the photos

My friend Amy is the photographer and she does a WONDERFUL job! She will come to your house or any location of your choice. Not sure of the cost, but she does offer a DVD of portraits as well.
