Hey, mamas. My husband and I have recently started to consider having another baby. Just out of curiousity what are your favorite baby names? We are leaning towards Hannah Mae for a girl and Hudson Coit for a boy. Any suggestions and what do you think?

I like Rhett for a little boy and Harley for a little girl. I have two girls Sierra Malynn 4 and Shelby Leigh 1. I am a Steel Magnolias fan. The mom (Sally Fields) was Malynn and the daughter (Julia Roberts) was Shelby. We had two boys and two girls names picked out. When they were born we decided which one fit them best. Good Luck!

I like Hannah Mae (I may be partial because I have a great neice named that & the Mae came from my Grandmother's name) I would imagine however, there are being and will have several baby girls named Hannah because of Hannah Montana and in the future, I'm already seeing kids going to be making fun of niece, who will be starting preshool & nicknaming her Hannah Montana. I love the name though, always have. I am absolutely crazy about the boys name. I Love the name HUDSON. I have 4 grown sons and one of them would have been named Hudson if I had thought of it. I like the middle name also a perfect combination. Whatever you choose, best of Luck & May God Bless you & your precious baby.

Well of course I love the names of my own girls they are Carissa Brooke and Lauren Isabel. I had picked out a Biblical name if I ever had a boy but I never got my boy. I was going to use Abram Sumner....Abram is of course Abraham before God changed his name and Sumner meant "church leader". Good luck on those names, once you choose it and see your baby you will know..........

Those are great choices. Hannah is kinda popular right now. We have all girls and have not been able to use my favorite boys name...Jon-Mark Everett. Hope this helps.

Hannah is such a cute name, but just be aware that with the craze of Hannah Montana now your little princess will probably be in good company with several other Hannahs at school. I know that his doesn't bother a lot of people, but I try to pick names that will be unique. I do love the name Matilda... I also love your choice of Hudson Coit. I think that's a very unique name. Good luck!

Other than my kids names, (Gabe, Isabella and Lauren), I like Alyssa, Mckayla, Jamie, Kathryn, Matthew, Joseph, Tyler and Michael. I know those are a lot of names but they are the ones that come to mind when I start thinking of having another, (we won't though). :-)

I love the name Gentry. Either boy or girl. I have 3 boys, Jordan, Davis and Chad but I would name either gender Gentry. I like boy names for girls. I think it's kindof sassy and definately different. Consider family names, even great grand mothers and further back. There are some that have meaning, maybe your mother's maiden name or your father's grandmother. You'll come up with the right name and when you do you will know it. I do love both of the names you have chosen. I would even name a girl Hudson.
Parents get over the shock........do what you want.

I love both of those names-we have a Hannah Joy and an Aubrey Mae and our ds is Mason. Congrats on considering #2-its much more fun.

Wow! Names are so individual as to preference, you'll get a million responses (or none, as it's too hard to suggest for someone else!)

My twin girls are named Jordan Sierra and Carson Noelle.

But I like the ones you picked out as well.

Well, my husband and I always write down the name and then see what kind of nicknames could easily come up from children. Like Hannah Mae what??? I love the first names, I would suggest saying them out loud a couple of times like your looking for them and they are hiding, you know when you use all 3 names. see if it all sounds good together, will they like their name?

I am fond of unusual names. If I were to have another girl it would be Sorsha Dawn. We have a hard time with boys names, my current 2 are Girl - Aeris Kailynn and Boy - Brenneth d'James (the d' is silent)
