Does It Make You Cry?

Not because of the animals. That song haunts me and always will. My mama died at 50 yrs old in 02 and that was the song they played at her funeral and always when I get down and miss her I always comes on. Lord do I miss her!

Although it is sad, I do not cry. However, the St. Jude commercial does. It is so sad to see those sweet babies going through that. Right now I do not have extra money to donate but if and when I do. St. Jude will be first!

I change the channel or mute it and focus on something else.

I hurt for animals that are hurting, but it also pisses me off to be guilted into doing anything.

My daughter cries with that commercial, but im so numbed by watching footage of what is done to the animals raised for meat in this country that the sad cats and dogs dont effect me as much.

call it jaded, or optimistic but they are the lucky animals, there are laws to protect them from torture.

I get a lump in my throat..yeah....I do. but really? It makes me ANGRY and sickens me that people treat animals that way!! I cannot understand for the life of me - who on earth ANYONE could do some of the things that they do to the animals...I'd love to give them a taste of their own medicine...urgh.

Nope, I cannot watch it ever. I always change the channel and get teary. I can't go into pet stores that sell dogs and cats either.
I don't even like the idea of people having birds in little cages!! LOL!

We change the channel at our house, too. In fact, everyone we have mentioned this to confesses that they do the same thing. For people who love animals- which you are most likely one- it just tears you up to see those images. I am all for the support of humane groups and we support them when we can, but the way the play on these feelings during the commercials seems a bit heavy-handed.

My granddaughter cries each and every time that comes on. She just looks at me and says she hurts for animals that get hurt...

Yes, it makes me cry. My husband gets sad too. We turn the channel also. I don't like seeing the dogs. I feel so sorry for them.

I cry just THINKING about it! And then I give them all my money.

its a very depressing commercial but it dose not make me cry or change the channel. although now when i hear that song all i think about are sad little animal eyes!

It makes me feel guilty that I can't save them all. I have to remember I saved one who is an integral part of our family. I don't like their attempt at a guilt trip.

OMG, gets me EVERY time! I am an emotional person, so I cry at a lot of happy and sad things!

I have to turn the channel too! Not only because of me, but my 10yr old saw it once and cried forever over those animals. So heartbreaking!

Yes, every time. Which made me feel AWFUL one night, b/c the next commercial that came on was for Saint Jude. Not that I put an animal's life over a child's, but the way it was presented was just so heart wrenching. And I have worked in a shelter and vet before, so I have seen some pretty sad stuff. Both my pets are rescues.

SO sad.....it's the expressions of despair on the faces of the animals....
