I'm expecting twins this summer. We also have a move ahead of us shortly after they're born. I'm planning to stay with my parents for a month or so before I move and was wondering if I can have both babies sleep in the same crib. Any recommendations?

What can I do next?

Yes, both babies can sleep in one crib for now. So long as you don't put any pillows/blankets/toys in the crib and lay them on their backs, they will be safe if they are still infants.

I had 3 in one crib for about 3 months when I finally got another crib for my son. Then my girls shared a crib until we got toddler beds at about 2 yrs old. They never had any problems and I think they slept better because they were together.

My twin boys (one year old right now) slept in the same crib for 3 months. When they really start moving around is when you want them to be in 2 different cribs so they don't roll over on each other or something.
Good luck to you with your twins, it will be so great:)

mine did until they started moving around good. I had thier heads on opposite ends and their feet facing one another. It worked out just fine!

Good Luck!

put the babies in the same crib for the first 3 months because they will thrive better being together the first few months and then move to different cribs but same room

From what I have hurd it's recomended to put twins in the same crib to begin with it cuts down on seporation agsiaty sorry cant spell very good. They are so close in your belly that they are used to being close and would not know what to do not being like that. One crib is fine. Good luck with your bundles of joy and God Bless!!!

until they are about 5 months old you could easily sleep both babies in the same crib or pack and play. I recommend only doing a pack and play at your parents since this is a temp arrangement and I have been in the same situation (our home was being built while I was pregnant with our second, and our townhouse sold in 8 days, so we were homeless for the last 3 months of my pregnancy. We ended up closing on the townhouse 4 days before Elise was born via C-section.) You don't want to use too much space and the pack and play will come in handy later.
