My son is turning 3yrs on Aug 12. He is a big fan of "Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends". My son is just fascinated by "Diesel # 10". We want to gift him Diesel #10 on his birthday but I couldn't find it in any stores in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, CA.
Ordering on eBay or Amazon may not deliver it on time, so I am not sure what should I do. Any suggestions? Does anyone know of a store where I can get Diesel# 10? Any ideas?

I truly appreciate all the wonderful response I got.
I finally got "Diesel #10" from one of my friend. Toy is used and old but my son doesn't mind that. He is eagerly looking forward to his birthday on Aug 12th. Every morning he wakes up and ask me if it is Aug 12 today.....isn't that cute.

I found lots of Thomas and friends trains at Target. There is a store in Alameda called Toy Safari that has a large selection also. Good luck!

Try Talbots Toys in San Mateo. I don't have their phone number with me but you could always look it up and call them. Its a wonderful store with lots of goodies!

There is one at Toy's R Us on Winchester Blvd in San Jose and I put it on hold. I work just down the street and also live in Mt. View. I could pick it up for you and we could sink up somewhere in Mt. View or if you want to pick it up it's under my first name (T.) and the sales person was Helen. Diesel # 10 is also named DOUGLAS. It's $21.99 plus tax. I will be leaving in a few minutes so let me know right away.

I'm not sure where you live but Hobbytown USA located at the Hub in Fremont might carry that. Also if you end up needing a used Diesel #10, I might be able to find one in our bin and you can let me know. Best of luck.

Also try Diddams, there are several store in the south bay-Palo ALto, San Jose, cupertino, even Mountain View. Save time and call ahead.
If none of the below work for you, Amazon does have speedy delivery, either over night or two days. It gets expensive though.
I will also second Talbot's Toyland in San Mateo. They seem to have every Thomas train & the store itself has a large model train department.
Also, I just wanted to point out that Toni mentioned Diesel #10 is Douglas. Douglas has the #10 on him, but there is also a breakdown train named "Diesel 10" who is green with a crane. Either way I bet Talbot's has both.
