My almost 6 year old son wants a bowling birthday party. I think that sounds like fun and I've been looking at Brunswick in Wataga. Any advice about a party there? Have you had one and did it go smoothly? Any advice positive or negatively would be great. Also, this will be our first "friends from Kindergarten/school party" so any advice there would be great too!! (I haven't met any of the other parents yet.)

What can I do next?

We were planning on doing the same for my son who turns 6 in November, but in the end decided against it. While my son loves to bowl, we usually go with just me, him, and dad. I know boys that age are full of energy. They allow 5 kids to a lane, and with bowling, each kid gets two turns before its the next persons turn. I was afraid the boys would get bored waiting for their next turn just to throw a bowl down the lane. We decided to go with something more active until he is a little older and his patience is a bit longer. But if you do go with it, do the cosmic bowling to make it more fun.

we've attended several and always have a blast! 6 is a bit young unless you make sure the parents stick around to help out with crowd control. also make sure they put the bumpers up to help with new bowlers. have a ball!

We did a bowling party for my sons 7th this past summer. The kids loved it. We live in Arlington so we used Alley Cats. They provided everything!! All we had to do was show up with the kids and the presents. They bowled for an hour and then took us to a party room for pizza, cake, drinks, and open presents. Then all the kids got cards to play the arcade games. They had a blast. They also offer laser tag and have a rock climbing wall, but we didn't do that stuff. (If you have little ones going too, ask for a ramp. That way they will actually knock down a few pins.) Good Luck and Have Fun!
