Best Double Stroller

I got the Zooper Tango in January and have been very pleased. It holds a carseat on one side and is a side by side type. I've never had a problem fitting it through doorways. I doesn't collapse like the umbrella style strollers, but those don't hold a car seat. I guess you need to decide what is important. Good luck.

Hi Karia. Congratulations! My older two are just 15 months apart, and I have to say that it's the most wonderful thing in the world. They are best friends and play together all the time. Of course they get in arguments as well, but that's part of life.

As for the double stroller, I used the Graco DuoGlider when my second was born. It lasted a good two years. I walked that thing to death, too, using it almost daily to walk into town, the park, the library, everywhere. It worked great with the Graco snugride. The only real problem I had was that I did not find that it was particularly easy to push. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't call it easy.

After my third was born, I bought two new strollers that I think you should consider. One is a Valco Runabout. The double stroller is huge and cumbersome, but if you think you'll have a third soon, it's totally worth it because you can buy a toddler seat to go on top of it. Check out valcobaby.com. If you believe you're going to stick with 2 kids, you could get the Valco single stroller and get the toddler seat for the top. My kids LOVE this stroller. And it is SO easy to push. It's amazing. I think it's probably big to fold, though. I don't mess with folding it as I only use it from the house to walk into town, the library, the park, all that.

I also bought a Joovy sit-and-stand that I keep in the car for trips to the mall, grocery store, etc. It seats the baby and my middle child. My oldest can walk for those shorter trips. The sit-and-stand is GREAT. It pushes easily and folds easily. And my Graco snug-ride car seat fits easily into it. The only thing I'm unsure of is if it will work for a 14-month old. I think my 15-month old would have been ok most of the time. If your older child sleeps in the stroller sometimes, this definitely wouldn't work as the sitting part for the older child is not something you'd snuggle into. I'd suggest going to Babies R Us or Right Start to check out the stroller and have your older child ride in the back part to see how she'd do.

On a side note, the first few months of having two such little ones can be difficult in terms of lack of sleep and managing two who don't listen so well, but I promise you, it gets so much better. I really want my third child to have a brother or sister that is as close in age as well. I think it's a great gift. Congratulations, again.

I watch another child and purchased the Maclaren Twin Techno. Some pros are that it is easy to maneuver, fits though standard doors, folds easy, has nice storage, and isn't too heavy (but they will be regardless because they are doubles). Some cons are that it is pricey, there have been small issues with things breaking (ie the plastic screen on the visor detached a bit), the cup holders stink, the wheels are small and if you hit an inch gap in the sidewalk you get stopped in your tracks...hard, and it doesn't hold a carrier (it is for newborn and up but you have to lay the seat back and let the newborn lay in it). I am not totally convinced that when I have my second child that I want to continue using it, however, it has worked well for the two toddlers I lug around all week ;) I think it is worth checking out since Maclaren is a good company. Good luck with your search...it is such a hard decision to make!!

Hi Karla...congrats on the new addition! I just bought a double stoller this year from Graco. It's one of their newer models and it fits my Graco snug ride infant seat perfectly. It's very lightweigth, handles quite well and packs pretty flat compared to other double strollers. The other think I like about it is that it feels very sturdy. some double strollers I looked at felt flimsy to me. Good luck with your decision. I included a link to this stroller below. Karla, You should definitely check out the Phil and Ted's. I love it! It's small, lightweight and can be a double with the attachment kit or just a single.

We have the Valco Runabout (single)with toddler seat. I almost got the double one w/ toddler seat...sometimes (like at the zoo) I wish I had, but other (like at the mall) I'm glad I didn't. My girls are 4 (as of last week), 23 mos, and 3 1/2 month. With the oldest usually walking, the 2nd usually riding/sometimes walking, and the baby usually riding/or in baby bjorn...there's always at least one kid in the stroller. It's easy to turn. It does take up some space. I take the wheels off for a better fit in the van. I've tested out a Graco double stroller since, and had forgotten how much harder they are to maneuver. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

When I was in the market this year for a double stroller, I researched just about every stroller out there. I really wanted something that not only fit in an SUV but also in the trunk of our car, which ruled out most of the strollers out there. I absolutely LOVE my Valco double stroller. It is a side by side and also accomodates an infant seat. Once your child outgrows the infant seat, you can even add an attachment that lets a third child ride in the stroller on a raised toddler seat if you needed to. This stroller is not really cumbersome for a double stroller - although they are all much harder to maneuver than a single. It fits through all doorways and aisles, and my kids seem to really love riding in it. My husband loves that our stroller is organge and blue - Bears colors! People always stop us to ask where we bought it. It is a bit pricey, but for us, we felt the pros outweighed the price in this case.

My kids are also 14 months about, 20 mo. and 6 mo. I have Graco's newest double stroller (Quattro Tour™ Duo Stroller) which I really like. I waited 3 mo. for this mode to come out since I didn't like any of the other Graco strollers and I wanted one that my carrier would fit. My older son really likes to sit in it. This stroller is easy to open/fold. I think it is a bit heavy but you get used to it (my single stroller is the Graco Metrolite). This stroller is available at Once Upon a Child and limited babyrus locations.

I LOVE my BOB Revolution double stroller. It absolutely the easiest to push. You can't believe the difference (I went from a Graco to BOB). I highly recommend it. My friend and I both got ours on e-bay and saved some $.

Hi and congrats! My last 2 are 13 months apart so when my youngest was born in march we bought the sit and stand stroller. I love the stroller but it really isn't practical for a 15 month old(that's how old my other daughter was when we decided to try it). I have a graco duoglider as well that I had from when I had my twins...it is the best. It is big, but most double strollers are. They have come a long way w/double strollers so my best advice to you would be the same as the last poster...go to the store(bring your infant car seat and your other daughter..some help if possible) and try them out. I have the Combi Twin Savvy Sport. Love it! My Graco car seat fit on the left - its not made for it and not a tight fit but it was secure enough that I didn't have any issues. It folds like a dream by the way - I fold it up and put it in the corner when we are in resturants.

Mine are 12 mos apart and we loved our Combi Twin. While it is not made to hold the infant seat, we found infrequent times that we would need it. The combi folds quite compactly, is lightweight, can be pushed and steered with one hand, both seats fully recline, it has lots of storage space, etc., etc.
