I used pampers swaddlers.
They seem to fit more snug. Baby's have very loose yellow seedy poop when they are that little. Theese were great for keeping it all in. Luvs and Huggies would be more loose across the back. My daughter would leak from behind. It would come up her back if she was laying down.

I used Swaddlers until she was into the size 3 diapers then I discovered that I really liked the Walmart brand White Clouds. She wore those until now she is in pull ups. I never had leaks or accidents. They are good diapers!!!

Hi C.,
We used Luv's on both of our boys at first. They were cheaper than pampers and Huggies. Once we saw that our younger son didn't "pee" as much or as often as our older son did, we experminted with cheaper diapers. We like the Costco brand Kirkland ( I think)but you need a Costco memebership. I also like WhiteCloud at Walmart.

When trying new diapers, buy the small package first to see if you like them. If you don't, they make great back up diapers for the car, grandmoms house. Also, Target brand wipes work well. Good luck!

You might just have to figure out what works best for your specific baby, but....I can speak for Pampers Swaddlers. For sizes Newborn-2, then switch to Pampers Cruisers 3+. My son is now in a size 6 diaper and we switched to Pampers Baby Dry diapers because they seemed a bit cheaper and worked best (not as bulky). The thing I really liked about the Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers is the stretchy, elastic-y side velcro closures. Hope this helps. Congrats and good luck.

Hello,

First off I would like to say congratulations.
I always used Luvs. They cost less than the other diapers and they are a good brand I did not have any problems with them giving my daughters a diaper rash, Or even White Cloud from Wal Mart are good and not too expensive.

C.,

My twins used diapers that I purchased at Diapermart. They're nothing fancy and very cheap, but they worked really well for us from about 0-6 months. They have a yellow stripe down the center that turns blue when they tinkle (my husband liked this feature). My kids never got a diaper rash. As the kids got bigger, they did not hold as well as the other diapers so I switched to huggies...I signed up for coupons online and they helped a bunch.

Check out diapers and prices here at the DiaperMart website.

I actually used a brand that I only found at Walmart. They are made by White Cloud. I found them to be very economical and they are just ast good at Huggies or Pampers. Hope this helps!!

I use cloth diapers. This can be a really affordable option if you are willing to wash them.
If you are interested you can check out www.diaperpin.com.

Anything that has a fleece lining will keep baby dry.

congrats on your newborn!!

i tried all the namebrand diapers for our son and found pampers swaddlers to work the best. luvs and huggies just leaked all the time.

when he was about 3 months old a friend recommended the diapermart diapers, which are MUCH less expensive. they worked well for her twins but unfortunately gave our little guy a diaper rash. i then switched over to the sams club brand and have found them to work fantastic at about 1/2 the price of the swaddlers.

i think swaddlers and pampers cruisers are still the best, but the sams club diapers worked really well for us too.

good luck!
