Hi!

I am looking for an affordable landscaper to do some yard clean up now and mowing when it is time. I am taking over the task of hiring someone, b/c he simply wouldn't cut it on a regular basis and I am tired of asking. The landscapers I talked to seemed expensive. Does the lawn really need cutting every week? Can it be done every other week? And is $120 a month a fair price or high? Can anyone recommend some affordable landscapers in the Lombard area?? Help!

cAll the city hall or churches in your area. They often have lists of teenagers who will come and do this cheaper and/or they have community service hours to do. My son did that a few years back and helped in the fall also with leaves. We also ended up babysitting for these people. So who knows. Enjoy your family!

I hear you...I'm so tired to asking my husband to do it! It really bothers me when our lawn gets long but doesn't bother my husband a bit! Yardwork is just not his thing. Anyway, some of my neighbors get theirs cut by services and since I'm always inquiring about it, I know that they pay between $25-28 per week (they come every week). I ended up asking our teenage neighbor to do it and he only charges $20 & just does it whenever he cuts his lawn, so about every 7-10 days. He doesn't do the trimming/weed whacking & edging though that the services do so we still have to do that. So, you could probably find a service closer to $100 per month or maybe find a teenage neighbor to do it? Good luck! Was just thinking the other day that I'm not ready for this battle to begin again this year! :)

Hi Annie,
I have a great landscaper who is very reasonable. He actually lives in Lombard. His company is called
MAV's Exteriors,Inc. His name is Mike Virgilio and his number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. Give him a call for a free estimate, he is reliable and honest. Give him a try.

We have someone come to mow every week during last summer and it was $25 each time. We went through Bill's Landscaping in Bartlett

Contracts are based on weekly basis. All lawn care is that way. I use to try to save also but noone will touch the job without weekly maintenance. You can get people for preseason lawn cleanup. That's a different fee but cleanup is done on entire yard; bushes, hedges raking removal etc. I use FAVELA LANDSCAPING ###-###-####. Free estimates and just aeraited my front and back for way under $100. Give him a call, he's reasonable. I told him I would use him next year because I'm already contracted with the people that did my yard for the past 2 years.
