My daughter cannot properly digest it due to lactose intolerance - I have her on Similac Sensitive but have no idea what to do with these two cases...are there any moms out there in need of the formula?
I thank you all for your responses. I have decided to give them to people who need it most. I will be donating them to charity. Truthfully I didn't think of that, and I can say at least I am fortunate enough to buy it where others cannot. If there are any other moms out there that cannot use their formula, it is a great idea. I know times are tough on us all and we need everything we can get - but there are women out there that can't and limited resources for them. To help charity is payment enough.

If you cannot find a mom out there that requests it, I suggest that you give it to a daycare or Women's Horizon. They can get it to someone that needs it.
If they are still available, I can use them... My little guy is a hungry little monster! I am on the nwside of Chicago, but am willing to travel a bit...If you decide not to give it to a single person, I used to work as a teacher at Simpson Academy for Young Women, a junior high and high school for pregnant and parenting teens...They always need things for the girls...Thanks and good luck!

I am sure tons of people took you up on your offer!! Are you looking too sell it or give it away? I only use formula for my baby's cereal but right now I am going through the samples that I have and hope to get a few freebies at her 6 mos. appt. Let me know.

Try putting them out on Craigslist. Maybe you can get some of your money back........
I would suggest donating it to the food pantry if it's unopened. I'm sure there's someone who goes there that could use it.

There is an agency called "First Things First" in Lombard
they help low income familes with diapers,formula,bath products,cloths,ect. they are wonderful and have helped my famiy when in need!
Check around to see if you have a local Crisis Pregnancy Center. I'm the Director of one in Springfield, and we are always in need of formula for our low-income moms.

if u cant find anyone interested in the formula you could bring it to your ped- they will be able to pass it on to someone who could use it
If you can't find anyone who needs it, donate it to a food pantry or a women's shelter or call a hospital or clinic to see who can use it.
Bring it to your local food pantry or call your church. They may know of a mother in need.
Hi A., food pantries and shelters are always looking for formula, perhaps you could donate through your church or local organization?
A., here are some ideas:
If you live not too far from Evanston, you can donate it to The Cradle on Ridge which is an ophanage for babies.
Or if you know where your closet Women's shelter is located you can donate it there.
Or wherever you live schools now help unwed Mom's go to school while there is a daycare center in a school, usually not in a regular school setting but in a separate building.
You can donate it to your local Salvation Army center, church - they will distribute it to a needy family.
Go to www.freecycle.org and join the group near you and post it for giving away. I'm sure you'll get lots of responses and you can choose who to give it to. You might even consider giving 2 or 3 cans to each person who replies.
You can't sell stuff on Freecycle, by the way.
But it's a great way to get rid of stuff that's really too good to just throw in the trash.

Do you have a crisis nursery near you or maybe an agency who places foster children? I know when I got the call that I was going to have 3 children placed in my home I and one was six weeks old I was totally not prepared with formula and diapers and such, and the agency will give you that stuff. Just a thought hope it helps.

I am sure that lawndale christian church would take it for some of their needy moms. They have a very well organized office that does a lot of community outreach. It is where I bring all my secondhand items. If you decide you want to do that, I am happy to drop it off for you. I live in Oak Park.
You should donate them to a women and children shelter.
You might want to try your local food pantry or maybe a homeless shelter.
You could sell it on e-bay and recoup some of your money.

Hi--if you don't have a specific mom answer your request, you may want to check with a local social service agency that serves low-income or homeless populations. I know downtown there is a big one called Haymarket that needs stuff for babies. If you can't find the number please let me know and I can get it at home (I'm at the office now), ____@____.com.
